Quality and environment: HANNO focuses on environmental certification in addition to IATF
Responsibility for the world of tomorrow - that is a task and more than an empty phrase. "We take the issue of sustainability very seriously - not only because we operate globally," affirms Günter Krohn, Managing Director of the sealing and insulation specialist Hanno. The medium-sized company from Laatzen has been continuously optimising its eco-balance for years and has now had this confirmed with certification according to ISO 14001:2015. The international standard sets strict requirements for an environmental management system worldwide and across all industries.
The internationally renowned Süddeutsche Kunststoff Zentrum (SKZ) was responsible for the certification. "The auditors particularly praised our holistic approach to the environment," says Marco Thiedmann, quality manager at HANNO, "This is a tailwind for our activities - and an incentive for further projects.
Bringing quality together with sustainability
At HANNO, the holistic environmental management seamlessly spills over into process chains that guarantee the product quality itself as well as customer satisfaction. These processes are also regularly reviewed and optimised. This in turn is evidenced by the current certification according to the global
Thiedmann comments: "For us, one is not possible without the other. Sustainability adds a new dimension to the quality of our work. And it gives our efforts for the environment particularly stable guard rails".
ISO 14001:2015
Diese internationale Norm bildet eine branchenübergreifende Grundlage für das Umweltmanagement von Unternehmen. Sie definiert Aufbau, Umsetzung und Aufrechterhaltung für das nachhaltige Nutzen von Ressourcen. Weltweit sind rund 30.000 Unternehmen ISO14001:2015 zertifiziert.
IATF 16949:2016
Von der Arbeitsgemeinschaft International Automotive Task Force (IATF) aus der ISO/TS 16949 weiterentwickelt, gilt die IATF 16949 als weltweiter Standard, um System- und Prozessqualitäten von Unternehmen der Automobil-Branche zu verbessern, Kundenzufriedenheit zu erhöhen und Risiken im Produktionsprozess sowie in Lieferketten zu beseitigen. Gegenüber der ISO 9001:2015, stellt die IATF 16949 zusätzlich die Anforderungen an die Kundenorientierung deutlich stärker in den Vordergrund.
